Welcome to the Institute of Packaging Professionals - Wisconsin Chapter

A Message From The President

Greetings fellow packaging professionals!  I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer.  Now that fall is approaching, it signals the beginning of the Wisconsin Chapter’s 2016-2017 events.  Our board has worked diligently over the summer months to put together several events that I think will be both interesting and rewarding to our members and contacts.

Our first event will be a tour of Keiding’s molded pulp facility in Milwaukee on Tuesday October 18th.  If you want to learn more about this environmentally responsible material, you need to attend this tour. Go to events page for more details.

November is Pack Expo!  If you attend the show be sure to check out the IoPP booth at N-4512.

For our next event we plan to tour Independence Corrugated in Oak Creek in early December.  You must come and see one of the three widest corrugators in the United States!

In February we plan to once again host the ever popular IoPP Quiz Night.  This fun event is a chance to network with your fellow packaging professional and display your knowledge about the world of packaging.

We are still working on at least one more event for Spring of 2017.  This brings me to my next topic.  It is increasingly difficult to find companies that are willing to open their doors to our organization for tours.  If you think your company would make for an interesting tour and would like to showcase your company’s capabilities, please contact me or one of the other officers and let us know.  It’s always great to see what other professionals in our group are doing, regardless of whether it’s directly related to packaging.

Also, if you have an idea for an event, professional or social, that you think our chapter should host, please pass it on to me or one of the officers.  We are always looking for fresh ideas.

Looking forward to seeing you at our next event!
